From theater to cinema, Margarita’s path is a symphony of artistic passion. Her love for painting and music has become the foundation of her creativity, allowing her to express herself across different mediums.
ANTHÉSTÉ:
Margarita, you have such a rich artistic background—graduating from the Athens National School of Theater, pursuing painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts, music, and now starring in a movie. What inspired you to pursue so many different forms of art?
MARGARITA:
Thank you! I’ve always believed that art is a way to express the depth of our human experience. Each medium—whether it’s acting, painting, or music—allows me to explore different facets of my soul. Theater taught me the power of storytelling, painting gave me a way to capture emotions visually, and music helps me connect with people on a more visceral level. I think they all complement each other, creating a full circle of creative expression.
ANTHÉSTÉ:
You recently starred in the movie "Athens Midnight Radio" in Greece with the caristmatic
Renos Haralambidis. Can you tell us more about that experience? What drew you to that role?
MARGARITA:
This role was very special to me. The character I played was complex, with a lot of emotional layers. Some of them quite familiar to all of us, and some of them completely new. The most difficult part was that I had to use only my voice to express all of her emotional world. It was an incredible journey to bring her story to life. Voice acting is very demanding, because image is not there to enhance the whole experience of story telling. My participation to “Athens Midnight Radio” movie by Renos Haralambidis was deeply rewarding, and it pushed me to grow as an artist. I love challenging roles like this because they allow me to dive deep into the human psyche.
ANTHÉSTÉ:
Speaking of being a mother, how do you balance your demanding career with motherhood? It must be challenging!
MARGARITA:
It is a constant balancing act, but my daughter is my greatest inspiration. She keeps me grounded and reminds me of the importance of self-care. I want to set an example for her that you can follow your passions while still being present for the people you love. It’s not always easy, but it’s so worth it.
ANTHÉSTÉ:
